Original Version of Fairy Tales

Once upon a time..They lived happily ever after...
We used to hear this kind of story. Our mother and father used to tell us about
  • Cinderella
  • Snow White
  • Rapunzel
  • Sleeping Beauty
  • Beauty and the Beast
Have you guys ever thought of the real story behind it?? I just found out recently. Those childhood stories that we used to hear is not that cruel as the original story. But they still have the moral stories behind it. The real story is cruel than we thought.

*Cinderella Story*

Firstly, Cinderella. yes most of the story that we used to hear are eventually the same with the original one. We have being told that the Cinderella's stepsister are ugly right?? But the original version of Cinderella stated that her stepsisters are not ugly. They are pretty but the reason why they are called ugly because they are spoiled child. The writer used the word UGLY to describe their attitude. But they still treat Cinderella as bad as it is.

We know that Cinderella used to wear a glass slipper for the ball right??? She also left her glass slipper at the ball. The prince want to find the one that dance with him at the ball by using the glass slipper. Those who fit the glass slipper will married to him. Cinderella's stepsister confess that they went there and dance with him.  The stepsisters try to force Cinderella’s glass slipper on their own feet, only to be frustrated and disappointed when the slipper doesn’t fit. The original story shows the stepsisters’ extreme determination and brutality. Since their feet don’t fit in the slipper, they just cut off pieces of their feet that don’t fit. They slice off parts of their toes and heel, and then try to shove their feet into the increasingly bloody slipper. The original Cinderella story ends with the evil stepsisters and stepmother having their eyes plucked out and eaten by ravenous white birds.

Moral of the story:  Don’t focus on physical aspects. Focus instead on spiritual quality.

*Rapunzel*

The original version is kind of happily ever after story. When Rapunzel's mother was pregnant she saw herbs tree that known as Rapunzel. Every night she looking to the tree. The tree is located at the witch's garden. She asked her husband to pluck it for her. One day, he went to the Witch's garden. Unfortunately, the witch found him plucking the trees. The witch is so angry. But Rapunzel's father explained to the witch that his wife want it so badly. The witch give him the tree but as a return Rapunzel's father have to give her the child, Rapunzel in return. The father agreed to that. Once Rapunzel was born , the witch took Rapunzel and lived with her at the tower. She treated Rapunzel as her daughter.
The prince was attracted to the Rapunzel's voice and he climbed the tower using Rapunzel's hair.

Original version of Rapunzel stated that Rapunzel was pregnant. Due to the pregnancy incident, the witch cut Rapunzel's hair and throw her at the dessert. She was angry due to the Rapunzel's action. The prince climbed up the tree without knowing that Rapunzel was not there. When he reached to the top, he was so shocked to see the witch was there, he fall to the thorn bushes. The thorns pierce his eyes and blind him. He stumbles off into a forest, lamenting his bad fortune and generally acting pretty mopey while bumping into trees. The prince trying his hard to find Rapunzel. They met again when the prince heard Rapunzel's voice. They return to the palace and live happily ever after.

Moral of the story:  A child maturing into adulthood can’t be stopped. It is a parent’s emotional burden to want to delay this process, though they shouldn’t act on it. Pregnant women may sometimes have strange requests for food.
